Simply insert an active SIM card and the system streams live video, uploads events, and tracks vehicle location on its own cellular connection. Dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz + 5.8 GHz) also enables fast local data offload at the depot.
How long can the ST-280 record before the storage fills up?
With a 4 TB SSD and H.265 compression, an 8-channel system recording at 1080p continuously can store approximately 2,000 hours of footage before loop recording overwrites the oldest files. A 2 TB SSD holds roughly 1,000 hours, and a 1 TB SSD holds about 500 hours. The SD card slot provides additional backup storage — a 512 GB SD card holds approximately 128 hours on an 8-channel system.
